Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist at Hermitage Hall, a UHS company, is a full-time role based in Nashville, TN. The position centers on full cycle recruiting, employee engagement, onboarding, and records management, with responsibility for administering the HealthStream training system and related HR duties.

Role Overview

This HR Generalist provides comprehensive human resources support within a healthcare setting, balancing recruitment, onboarding, training administration, and employee data integrity. The role requires active collaboration within a team and the ability to coordinate training modules through HealthStream for both existing staff and new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full cycle recruiting, sourcing candidates through multiple channels
  • Foster and monitor employee engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate and lead new hire orientation sessions
  • Oversee onboarding processes for new employees
  • Maintain records management and ensure data integrity
  • Track and document employee in-service trainings
  • Administer the HealthStream training system and assign annual training modules to staff and new hires
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
  • Provide administrative support to Executive committees and administrative meetings
  • Prepare and maintain employee files
  • Manage renewals for licenses and clearances
  • Coordinate and deliver employee trainings
  • Contribute to special projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience are required
  • Full cycle recruiting experience; onboarding of new employees is preferred; healthcare experience is preferred
  • Experience mediating employee concerns and applying sound professional judgment to support the facility and its staff
  • Knowledge of healthcare-related federal, state, and local laws and regulations is preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent problem solving, multitasking, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Minimum age of 21 with a valid driver’s license
