Job Description

RAVA Group Container Services, Inc. seeks an on-site Human Resources Generalist in Medley, FL to manage day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and development across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily human resources activities for both exempt and non-exempt staff across all company sites.
  • Keep accurate, confidential employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data up to date.
  • Administer and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employee programs.
  • Assist with benefits administration, leave management, employee status changes, and personnel transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Perform regular audits of employee files and employment documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, work authorizations, and other required documents.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, scheduled wage increases, and merit-based compensation adjustments.
  • Provide HR policy training and ensure employees understand company expectations and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns and workplace issues.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, policy violations, misconduct, and other sensitive matters; document findings and advise on corrective actions when needed.
  • Partner with managers to address performance concerns and development opportunities.
  • Offer guidance on coaching, counseling, corrective actions, disciplinary procedures, and performance improvement plans.
  • Conduct periodic pulse checks with leaders and employees to proactively identify workplace concerns and engagement opportunities.
  • Support department leaders in creating growth plans and career development initiatives.
  • Assist HR operations across all three locations and promote consistent HR practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee matters, organizational changes, and workforce planning.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with leadership regarding staffing needs and organizational trends.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for both exempt and non-exempt roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Create and manage job postings on Indeed and other platforms.
  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates; coordinate scheduling, reference checks, background screenings, and offer administration.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Oversee onboarding activities to ensure successful integration of new hires and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Coordinate employee training and development initiatives; monitor onboarding progress and early engagement.
  • Support succession planning and career development efforts; promote retention through coaching and development opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and leave administration.
  • Maintain accurate HR reporting and employment documentation; track key metrics and prepare KPI dashboards for leadership.
  • Partner closely with the CFO on employee-related matters, investigations, workforce planning, and organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt employee populations.
  • Proven track record conducting employee relations investigations and handling sensitive workplace matters.
  • Strong full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition experience.
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and related regulations.
  • Experience using HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including Indeed.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and make sound business decisions.
