Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
HD Supply is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support an on site operation in City of Industry, California. The role partners with associates and leaders to manage staffing, compensation, benefits, learning, associate relations, and performance management in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage core HR programs across staffing, associate relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and learning initiatives.
- Develop and propose solutions to a range of human resources issues.
- Consult with management on the interpretation and administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Collaborate with managers and associates to investigate and resolve associate relations matters.
- Provide staffing support including sourcing, interviewing candidates, and conducting reference checks.
Requirements
- Willingness to work a late shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM).
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience within supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Strong background in employee relations, workplace investigations, and employee engagement.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Workday, and Kronos.
- Self motivated, collaborative HR professional with excellent communication skills, high energy, and the ability to work independently or with a team; capable of influencing leadership, upholding policies, and engaging in customer facing settings.

Job Summary
Provide HR support and counsel to a specific business line, covering staffing, compensation, benefits, learning, associate relations, and performance management. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures and act as a liaison to other departments and HR subject matter experts.
Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis to address missing or inconsistent information in complex data sets. The role increasingly operates with independence, with guidance needed only on unusual or highly complex issues. Supervisory or training responsibilities for junior staff may be involved.
Work Environment
Based in a comfortable indoor setting with minimal unpleasant conditions. Primarily seated with occasional movement, and occasional light lifting. Overnight travel may occur 5% to 20% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline with 2-5 years of experience in a related field, or an MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Pay Range
Pay range: USD 77,000 - 113,500 per year
