Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist provides on-site HR leadership and support for designated E2 Optics locations in Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold Safety as a core value and ensure adherence to both company and client site safety policies and procedures
  • Model safe work practices aligned with company and client site requirements
  • Promote E2 Optics Core Values to sustain a family‑oriented culture
  • Serve as the site HR leader for the application of policies, practices, and programs
  • Collaborate with site leadership to advise on policy and employee related matters
  • Directly support managers on all corrective action matters
  • Assist with site transfer requests
  • Lead benefits meetings, presentations, and participate in open enrollment events
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation for designated sites
  • Ensure completion of I-9 and other required employment documentation
  • Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for designated site locations
  • Develop and implement ongoing training and development programs aligned with defined career paths and business needs
  • Provide responsive HR assistance for employee questions and issues
  • Conduct site location investigations in partnership with the HR Manager for awareness, escalation, and resolution
  • Foster a people‑centric culture and a conflict‑free workplace by promoting HR policies and programs
  • Coach and mentor site leadership to strengthen performance management through targeted development
  • Collaborate with site leaders to implement the annual engagement plan and related budgets
  • Gather and analyze employment data to track and improve HR outcomes
  • Deliver site training on annual self‑evaluation, peer reviews, performance reviews, and pay equity processes
  • Support 30, 60, 90‑day new hire performance feedback meetings
  • Upload employee information and records to the HRIS in compliance with policies and laws
  • Improve job satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local labor regulations
  • Demonstrate relationship management and effective consultation skills
  • Drive site‑level continuous improvement aligned with corporate goals
  • Participate in site leadership meetings to share HR updates and initiatives
  • Provide requested HR reporting to site leadership, including relevant driver data
  • Handle leave requests with appropriate communications and paperwork to maintain compliance
  • Follow up with employees and managers as needed and maintain accurate tracking
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel as required by E2 Optics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • 7+ years of HR experience in progressively responsible roles; may be considered in lieu of degree
  • PHR certification or equivalent preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience administering HR policies in industrial or manufacturing settings preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration abilities
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Practical understanding of general HR policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of employment and labor laws
  • Tactful, professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, and external partners
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational, record-keeping, time management, and follow‑up skills
  • Self‑starter who acts on issues, gaps, or opportunities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Comfort working under time pressure and adapting to evolving requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Self‑motivated, proactive team player with solid work ethic
  • Strategic planning abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, XMind, etc.)
