Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Elevate Psychiatry is a specialty healthcare practice in Miami that relies on a capable HR Generalist to streamline staffing, onboarding, benefits administration, policy development, and HR operations. This onsite role supports a smooth employee lifecycle, from first-day onboarding through ongoing advisory services and payroll coordination, ensuring compliance and a people-first approach.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a seamless new-hire onboarding experience by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional first day
- Manage onboarding administration including new-hire orientations and data entry in HRIS and company software systems
- Provide dedicated HR advisory support on absence and health matters, performance and conduct issues, grievances, organizational changes, and other employee-relations matters
- Process payroll tasks, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, reimbursements, hourly validations, and benefits changes
- Assist with communicating, interpreting, and maintaining the employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or a related field
- Proven experience in an HR department within a healthcare or healthcare-related environment
- Resourceful mindset with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
- Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Advanced IT skills, experience with HRIS, and ability to learn new systems
- Experience creating employee manuals and job descriptions
- Onboarding experience
- Leave management knowledge including FMLA, STD, LTD

Objectives of this role
- Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Participate in developing HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company needs
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Suggest new procedures and policies to improve the employee experience and the efficiency of the HR department
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, updating policies and procedures as necessary

Schedule
