Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist role is responsible for administering and executing HR programs and supporting HR strategy at a Greer, SC onsite operation. This position covers core functions such as compensation and benefits, leave administration, disciplinary support, training coordination, and employee engagement while assisting with compliance expectations.

Location, Shift, and Compensation

  • Location: Greer, SC (onsite)
  • Shift: 2nd Shift
  • Salary: USD 55,000 - 65,000 per yearly
  • Minimum experience: 5 years
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer routine human resource programs including compensation, benefits, unemployment hearings, leave processes, disciplinary matters, investigations, and performance management.
  • Plan and implement HR policies, processes, and training to support HR compliance and business HR strategy.
  • Coordinate initiatives and employee engagement surveys to improve outreach and engagement across company personnel.
  • Increase HR presence through site visits and driver ride-alongs while administering HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, claims resolution, and benefit communications.
  • Administer leave programs such as FMLA and LOA using systems and software.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to support discipline, terminations, conflicts, job transfers, and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with senior leadership on staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies, including research and organizational trend analysis.
  • Administer and monitor the performance evaluation program, supporting leaders with performance concerns.
  • Support administration and monitoring of safety and HR policies, including PPE and Uniform Programs.
  • Facilitate community outreach efforts to support participation in local events for brand recognition.
  • Complete required company development, safety, and compliance training.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed based on business requirements.
  • Adhere to BLS policies and DOT, OSHA safety regulations, and C-TPAT best practices.
  • Follow workplace processes supporting ISO-9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 45001 quality certification programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Strong HRIS technology skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and mature business judgment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Class D driver’s license required, and eligibility for insurance under company policies
