Job Description
Onsite Human Resources Manager role at Servpro in Broadview, IL 60155 with a salary range of USD 70,000 - 95,000 per year, responsible for supporting employees and senior leadership and ensuring alignment with company obligations and career goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure and maintain compliant employment files and record accuracy (e.g., W-4, I-9, E-Verify, etc.).
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough investigations, documenting incidents, and recommending outcomes while minimizing risk of claims.
- Identify HR trends, policies, or new regulations that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational goals.
- Interpret applicable laws and policies and advise management and employees.
- Manage full cycle recruiting through a comprehensive program that includes participating in career fairs and developing strong community-based relationships with potential industry pipelines.
- Oversee the Performance Review Process, including mid-year and annual reviews as well as new hire check-ins; develop a timeline and coach leadership on best practices, providing constructive feedback.
- Manage HRIS data collection, ensuring all processes are completed by specified payroll deadlines.
- Track and administer all leave programs such as FMLA and PTO within the HRIS tracking system.
- Ensure payroll accuracy including timekeeping procedures, labor cost allocations, commission pay, and wage garnishments.
- Manage and develop strategy for benefits programs that ensure cost effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity among employees.
- Oversee reconciliation processes for the HR department, including benefit carrier invoices, vendor invoices, and year-end closing.
- Create and manage an operating budget for the HR department by calendar year.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of employment and labor law principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in project management to handle multiple HR initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong technical proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS management.
