Job Description

The Human Resources Manager role is based onsite in Bloomsdale, MO and partners with functional leaders to shape human capital plans and HR strategy that support business objectives, while assisting the HR Director with talent management, recruitment, training, and HR programs across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive committee members, directors, and managers across supported functions; project work may bring exposure to the CEO and senior leaders in cement and ACM operations.
  • Maintain frequent engagement with HR Directors, business managers, and the HR Coordinator to align HR activities with business needs.
  • Build strong relationships quickly and translate business needs into practical HR solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Commit to communicating, improving, and enforcing safety policies in all work environments.
  • Contribute to restructuring and culture-building efforts that drive higher employee engagement.
  • Promote a culture of safety and demonstrate safe behaviors consistently.
  • Support the HR Director in executing HR strategy to ensure adequate employee resources for planned results; work with line managers to identify issues impacting business objectives.
  • Partner with and coach managers on people management activities, including talent management processes such as IDPs, annual performance appraisals, merit and bonus processes, staffing, development, compliance, and employee/labor relations.
  • Participate in exempt position selection, advise on candidate choices, and prepare compensation packages and terms of employment.
  • Assist the HR Director with campus recruiting efforts.
  • Engage managers in actively developing future talent.
  • Identify training and development opportunities and resources for targeted employee groups based on business needs.
  • Assist managers with addressing performance issues and provide consultative support; support implementation of corporate HR programs and policies.
  • Coordinate with the business and company resources to address any litigation or legal matters.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to share best practices and pursue consistency; work with HR Shared Services to streamline processes and reduce administrative burden.
  • Engage with both union and non-union team members.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a safety-first culture.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR generalist or HR business partner experience.
  • Manufacturing, construction, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a union workforce.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • SAP experience preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 10% travel

Additional Requirements

  • Successful candidates must follow all safety protocols and use Amrize approved PPE, including respirators where required; employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator seal for fit testing, subject to applicable law.
