Job Description

Libra Staffing Inc. seeks a compliance-driven HR professional to support internal HR operations across California and multi-state staffing. Depending on candidate experience, the role may function as an HR Administrator or an HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes and manage personnel files
  • Address employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and document outcomes
  • Coordinate corrective actions, including written warnings and termination documentation
  • Uphold confidentiality for all employee and company information
  • Provide guidance to employees on policies, benefits, payroll, and leaves
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws and internal policies
  • Oversee I-9 and E-Verify activities and onboarding documentation
  • Support leave administration including CFRA, FMLA, ADA interactive process, and paid sick leave
  • Maintain OSHA and workplace safety documentation
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claim administration and communications
  • Collaborate with recruiters, operations, payroll, and client management teams
  • Maintain accurate records within HRIS and ATS systems
  • Support multi-location and multi-state staffing operations
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and internal compliance initiatives
  • Maintain organized digital HR records
  • Track deadlines, expirations, trainings, and compliance requirements
  • Draft professional HR correspondence and employee communications
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of HR, staffing, payroll, or employee relations experience
  • Strong understanding of California employment practices
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems
  • Staffing industry experience
  • Experience with Avionté or similar ATS/payroll systems
  • Multi-state HR experience
  • Experience handling leaves, investigations, or workers’ compensation
  • Spanish bilingualism is preferred but not required
