Human Resources Manager (Multi-Site)

This full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager (Multi-Site) role at Transdev is based in Olathe, KS, overseeing HR operations and recruitment across Johnson County, Lawrence, and the KC RAC office, with travel between locations; salary range is USD 63,000 - 78,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Foster a strategic partnership with operating management to guide daily HR operations and shape policies and initiatives.
• Administer policy interpretation, ensure compliance, handle disciplinary actions, and manage employee relations across union and non-union environments.
• Support full-cycle recruiting, including drafting job descriptions, posting roles, screening resumes, conducting phone screens, and in-person interviews.
• Support HIPAA/PHI compliance, SOC 2 audits, employee relations, hiring, and engagement to promote a safe, respectful, and fair workplace.
• Advise location management on employee relations, dispute resolution, and maintain current employee files and HR records.
• Collaborate with management to design proactive employee relations strategies for union and non-union salaried staff, drivers, and shop personnel.
• Provide guidance to location managers on employee relations, data and contingencies, dispute resolution, handbook interpretation and administration, disciplinary matters, labor code, human rights, and other statutory obligations, using appropriate resources as needed.
• Stay informed on HR trends, practices, or legislation affecting employment programs, policies, or procedures.
• Maintain understanding of Employment Laws including FLMA, FLMI, HFWA.
• Manage recruitment and onboarding processes through an applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Five (5) or more years of direct HR and labor relations experience in public transit operations (preferred).
• Experience with recruitment processes and terminations.
• Experience with benefits administration and compensation.
• Administering employee files for monthly audits for both customer and company.
• Solid understanding of Labor Relations.
• Other relevant Human Resources qualifications.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical as applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
