Human Resources Specialist
Job Description
The Human Resources Specialist at Ball Homes, LLC provides administrative and operational support across core HR functions to ensure smooth daily operations, timely employee assistance, and accurate documentation while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This onsite role is based in Lexington, Kentucky.
Responsibilities
- Oversee job advertisements, manage applicant tracking, arrange interviews, and maintain candidate communications.
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing materials, leading orientations, and ensuring required documents are completed promptly.
- Keep recruitment files organized and assist hiring managers with scheduling and logistics.
- Act as the initial contact for routine HR inquiries about policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications.
- Maintain a welcoming and responsive HR presence across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure accurate and confidential employee records, in both digital and physical formats.
- Update data in the HRIS, generate basic reports, and support data integrity efforts.
- Assist with compliance activities including I-9 verification, EEO tracking, and policy acknowledgments.
- Support benefits administration by answering enrollment questions and guiding employees to appropriate resources.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure timely submission of changes, new-hire data, and status updates.
- Contribute to the annual open enrollment process through preparation and communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five years of HR experience.
- Solid organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service orientation.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
