Entry-level Human Resources Assistant role at Newbury Court, part of Deaconess Abundant Life Communities, supporting HR operations, onboarding, recruitment, employee engagement, events, and community initiatives within a continuing care retirement community.

Responsibilities
- Human Resources Administration: Maintain, organize, and file employee personnel records and HR documentation.
- Human Resources Administration: Conduct regular audits of employee files to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Human Resources Administration: Support the HR team with daily administrative functions and special projects.
- Human Resources Administration: Order and maintain office, orientation, and HR supplies.
- Human Resources Administration: Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and HR correspondence.
- Human Resources Administration: Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive records.
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Prepare onboarding paperwork and orientation materials.
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Support new employee orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Employee Engagement & Events: Assist in planning and coordinating employee appreciation events, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, career fairs, and community events.
- Employee Engagement & Events: Help execute event logistics, including setup, coordination, and follow-up.
- Employee Engagement & Events: Support employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Marketing Support: Support social media, internal communications, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
- Community Support: Build positive relationships with employees, residents, families, and visitors.
- Community Support: Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact in the Human Resources office.
- Community Support: Provide excellent customer service while assisting employees with HR-related questions.
- Community Support: Collaborate with other departments to support community-wide initiatives.
- Community Support: Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Learning & Development: Track employee participation and completion of required training using HR systems.
- Learning & Development: Maintain accurate learning and development records to support compliance and reporting.
- Learning & Development: Help prepare training materials, attendance records, and post-training evaluations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous office, customer service, administrative, or internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Task Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attitude & Growth: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow.
