Job Description

Fluor Federal Services is seeking a Human Resources Specialist I to support the Human Resources function through day-to-day guidance, records administration, and assistance with less complex HR matters. This onsite role is based in Greenville, SC and helps ensure personnel actions and evaluations are documented accurately and maintained in compliance with applicable requirements.

In this position, you will handle general HR support activities, respond to employee and client questions, and keep HR data current through timely processing of employee status changes and related updates in computerized systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion
  • Input personnel and position changes and other details (such as salaries, locations, and authorized access) into computerized databases
  • Update and maintain various logs and reports
  • Provide information to employees and respond to client questions
  • Assist employees, applicants, and other agencies by providing information and guidance on Human Resources functions, activities, and services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study, with no prior years of work-related experience; or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling four (4) years if non-degreed
  • Some locations may require additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the role
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Industrial Relations, Finance, or a related field, with significant experience in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills of a complex nature
  • Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
  • Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff
  • Team-orientation and strong communication with all levels of employees
  • Proficient computer and software skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations

Salary: USD 48,500 - 89,500 per yearly.
