Manager, U.S. Talent Acquisition
Job Description
Location: St. Louis, MO (onsite)
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall performance, effectiveness, and ongoing improvements for the U.S. Talent Acquisition function.
- Design scalable recruiting processes, standards, and service levels to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Develop and implement a Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with business priorities and hiring needs.
- Steer the function toward becoming a best-in-class recruiting operation.
- Establish recruiting metrics, reporting, and accountability to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and develop a team of recruiters through coaching and mentorship.
- Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the recruiting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Align recruiting resources to meet business needs and hiring demand.
- Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to help recruiters maximize impact.
- Serve as the primary Talent Acquisition partner to HR leadership and business leaders.
- Forge cross-organizational partnerships and establish credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Advise leaders on workforce planning, talent market conditions, recruiting strategies, and hiring challenges.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to elevate the quality and effectiveness of hiring decisions.
- Personally lead searches and coordinate recruitment for key, complex, and leadership roles across the organization.
- Design targeted sourcing and recruiting plans to attract top-tier talent.
- Guide hiring teams through intake, candidate assessment, selection, and offer stages.
- Ensure a superior candidate experience and maintain recruiting excellence at every stage of the process.
- Oversee the use of Workday Recruiting and other recruiting tools to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain data integrity, accurate reporting, and compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Monitor workload, team performance, and hiring activity to ensure service levels are met.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and best practices to improve outcomes.
- Maintain a structured Talent Acquisition function with clear accountability and measurable results.
- Keep recruiters engaged, productive, and consistently delivering a high-quality candidate experience.
- Foster a perception among hiring managers that Talent Acquisition is a trusted business partner.
- Ensure critical and hard-to-fill positions are filled with top-tier talent.
- Continuously evolve recruiting processes to meet changing organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience.
- 3+ years of Talent Acquisition leadership experience with responsibility for team performance and recruiting outcomes.
- Proven success in building, improving, or scaling recruiting programs, processes, or functions.
- Strong ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience recruiting and managing efforts across professional, engineering, operations support, and corporate functions.
- Experience using data, metrics, and analytics to drive recruiting decisions and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Workday Recruiting or comparable ATS platforms.
- Solid knowledge of employment law and recruiting best practices.
