People Operations Generalist
Job Description
Ent is building a strong People Operations function across multiple regions, operating today as a small team. As a People Operations Generalist, you will help run core people programs across the US, UK, and Canada, while also designing scalable workflows and self-service resources. The role blends hands-on HR operations with HRIS administration, global benefits support, and process building that can grow as the company does.
What you’ll do
- Act as the first point of contact for employee questions via Slack, email, and ticketing, and develop resources that enable employees to find answers independently.
- Own onboarding end to end, including pre-boarding logistics through the first 90 days, and continuously improve the process each cycle.
- Run offboarding, including exit interviews, and translate feedback into insights leadership can act on.
- Support HRIS as a system administrator for HiBob, focusing on data integrity, workflows, permissions, and reporting.
- Support global benefits and perks across the US, UK, and Canada, including open enrollment, vendor relationships, and the Employer of Record partnership.
- Help maintain compliance across three countries, including I-9 verifications, employment documentation, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Maintain and champion People policies that stay clear and useful for employees.
- Build and grow an internal resource hub so self-service becomes the default.
- Identify areas where AI and automation can reduce manual work, then build and document those workflows for the team.
- Turn one-off requests into repeatable processes to scale operations faster than headcount.
What you bring
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco or within commuting distance, including regular presence in the SF office (flexible, for example 2 to 3 days per week).
- 2 to 4 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, or employee programs.
- Proven ownership of operational HR workflows such as leave of absence, accommodations, onboarding, or offboarding.
- Working knowledge of HR systems including HiBob, SequoiaOS, Checkr, and Carta, plus comfort learning new tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including employee-facing documentation and internal HR communications.
- Strong organizational skills for juggling multiple programs, timelines, and stakeholders.
- A service-minded approach with the ability to handle sensitive situations with care, discretion, and confidentiality.
