Principal Associate, Recruiter- Global Payment Network

Capital One is hiring a Principal Associate, Recruiter to support the Global Payment Network within its Professional Talent Acquisition Recruiting Team. This onsite role in McLean, VA centers on building strong talent pipelines, running full lifecycle recruiting, and helping business partners improve the recruiting experience through data and process guidance.

What you’ll do

• Partner with hiring managers and business, group, or organization leaders to understand specific talent needs.
• Own full lifecycle recruiting and hiring deliverables, including creating compelling position descriptions, sourcing diverse candidate pipelines, and marketing Capital One’s talent brand to attract top talent.
• Screen candidates, advise business partners on the recruiting process, and negotiate job offers.
• Develop and execute sourcing plans to identify and recruit top talent, managing candidate development from identification and engagement through offer extension and closing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with a team of recruiters and help promote a culture focused on inspiration, empowerment, and inclusion.
• Use recruiting data to provide proactive status updates and communicate hiring results to leadership and HR partners.
• Source candidates through channels beyond direct applications, including search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other innovative sourcing techniques.

Basic qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of experience in recruiting OR 3 years of experience in human resources OR 3 years of client consulting experience OR a combination of the three

Preferred qualifications

• Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification
• 4+ years of experience in Corporate Recruiting, including full life cycle, research, and sourcing
• 2+ years experience consulting with multiple hiring managers at once while building and enhancing strong working relationships
• Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using innovative techniques to attract and recruit diverse talent
• Experience with compensation and general HR requirements related to hiring

Compensation and benefits

Salary range (McLean, VA): USD 120,800 - 137,900 per year for Principal Recruiter.

Candidates hired for other locations will be offered a pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount will be reflected in the offer letter.

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
