Job Description

Dunn Lumber Company seeks a Seattle on-site Recruiter to lead full-cycle hiring, build proactive talent pipelines, and partner with leadership to attract top talent while advancing the employer brand.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract candidates who align with Dunn Lumber's values, culture, and mission.
  • Build proactive pipelines for core roles and leadership positions.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through networking, sourcing platforms, industry events, referrals, and community partnerships.
  • Assess candidate qualifications, potential, and cultural fit to support long-term organizational success.
  • Manage full cycle recruiting from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Regularly engage with executive leadership, department heads, and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and future staffing plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of Dunn Lumber's benefits package and offerings.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to strengthen the company’s employer brand and recruiting presence.
  • Develop creative recruiting campaigns that highlight career opportunities, culture, employee success stories, and growth potential.
  • Represent Dunn Lumber at job fairs, community events, industry associations, schools, and workforce development programs.
  • Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, quality of hire, retention, sourcing effectiveness, labor market trends, and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on employment law, labor market conditions, and industry best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Location: Seattle, WA (onsite)
  • Must have a vehicle to commute to all Dunn Lumber locations
  • Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint
  • Proficiency with recruiting platforms, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Previous experience in talent management and HR functions is preferred
  • Strong ability to identify high-quality talent and assess organizational fit
  • Sales-minded approach with the ability to promote career opportunities and company culture
  • Strong networking and sourcing capabilities
  • Strategic thinker who can develop creative solutions to recruiting challenges
  • Passion for helping people succeed and supporting organizational growth
  • Recruiting experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Compensation: USD 29 - 31 per hour
