Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and advocate for the best fit for open roles.
  • Review applications and evaluate work history, education, training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications.
  • Lead intake sessions with hiring managers to define needs, outline the role, identify critical skills, and align on candidate profile, sourcing strategy, and hiring timeline.
  • Assess job orders and match candidates to requirements using manual or computerized search methods.
  • Advise management on the most qualified candidates for each opening.
  • Maintain effective relationships with all levels of management to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with search firms, placement agencies, colleges, universities, technical schools, and career fairs.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard‑to‑fill automotive manufacturing positions.
  • Choose recruiting sources and techniques to fulfill the company’s needs and attract qualified candidates.
  • Support onboarding activities, including pre‑hire screens, onboarding, and orientation in partnership with local HR.
  • Extend offers to selected candidates.
  • Coach and guide hiring managers through the recruitment process.
  • Stay informed about developments in compensation, benefits, and general HR practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Recruiting or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local interviewing, employment, and recruiting laws.
  • Strong time management, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to sell, influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and new priorities; maintain objectivity in decisions.
  • Professional certification is a plus.
