Recruiter

Graham Media Group is seeking a Recruiter to support full-cycle hiring with a strong emphasis on sales positions. This hybrid role in Detroit, MI focuses on partnering with hiring managers to attract and evaluate talent, build resilient pipelines, and keep candidates informed throughout the process.

The Recruiter will manage recruiting efforts across multiple functions as business needs evolve, while promoting Graham Media Group’s employer brand through community connections and recruitment marketing initiatives.

What you’ll do

• Own full-cycle recruiting across a range of roles across the organization, with primary focus on sales positions.
• Recruit in additional areas as needed, including newsroom and on-air talent, engineering and technology.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies, define candidate profiles, and align to short-term and long-term talent needs.
• Source both passive and active candidates using networking, social media platforms, employee referrals, industry associations, job boards, and direct outreach.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for sales and other functional areas.
• Screen candidates and conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate skills, experience, and organizational fit.
• Coordinate and facilitate interviews to support an efficient, positive hiring experience.
• Manage the offer process end to end, including understanding motivations, addressing concerns early, and helping candidates move forward when facing competing offers or counteroffers.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records in the Applicant Tracking System (Workday).
• Support employer brand promotion through social media, industry events, networking opportunities, and recruitment marketing initiatives.
• Represent Graham Media Group at career and media industry events to connect with potential talent.
• Build relationships with universities, journalism and broadcast programs, professional organizations, and sales and media talent communities.
• In collaboration with HR Leadership and creative teams, help create recruitment content.
• Serve as a trusted resource to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
• Share market feedback and recommend hiring requirements, compensation considerations, and interview steps when a search is not progressing.
• Provide regular updates on pipeline status, progress, and hiring timelines, and surface trends or concerns early.

What you bring

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 2 years recruiting for sales or other quota-carrying roles.
• Strong proficiency in Workday Recruiting or a comparable ATS, plus sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, and experience with scheduling or assessment platforms.
• Knowledge of modern sourcing techniques and recruitment technologies.
• Excellent interviewing skills, relationship-building ability, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Ability to travel for recruitment or talent-focused events.
• Ability to work standard hours 9am-6pm and adjust if hiring needs require it.

• Bachelor’s degree: Preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, but not required
• Preferred qualifications: Experience recruiting in media, broadcasting, publishing, advertising, or marketing; experience supporting employer branding initiatives
