Job Description
Based onsite in Texarkana, TX, this Talent Acquisition role focuses on recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates for professional non-nursing positions. The recruiter ensures a qualified applicant pool while adhering to CHRISTUS hiring practices and applicable laws, and contributes to HR program development and performance improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Fosters strong, ongoing communication with hiring supervisors across directors, managers, coordinators, and team leads, addressing each unit's unique requirements.
- Builds and maintains a robust candidate pipeline by designing and refining recruitment programs that utilize marketing and incentive strategies (advertising, mailers, brochures, publications, bonuses, relocation, scholarships) in step with market trends and budget constraints.
- Oversees the end-to-end hiring workflow, including pre-screening per Targeted Selection (TS), using assessment tools, coordinating TS-based interviews, and proposing incentives such as relocation or sign-on bonuses.
- Collaborates with external recruiters to fill hard-to-fill roles.
- Administers the Targeted Selection program, ensuring managers are trained and employing TS interview techniques, guides, and data integration to select new hires.
- Provides TS interviewer training and may serve as a TS interviewer when needed.
- Acts as the HR Logix administrator, maintaining requisitions, job postings, and applicant data for assigned positions.
- Ensures timely and accurate submission of new requisitions for weekly staffing council reviews.
- Assists in preparing and distributing the staffing council spreadsheet in coordination with the recruitment team.
- Cultivates relationships with community partners and schools by representing CHRISTUS Health positively, participating in career fairs, and supporting community events.
- Provides regular reports on recruitment activity, including hires and openings, on a weekly basis or as requested.
- Supports fellow recruiters as needed, including coverage during absences.
- Acts as a backup orientation facilitator when required.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of applicants, candidates, and staff information; discloses confidential data only as necessary for job responsibilities.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by department leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of recruiting experience
- Ability to manage a full desk and requisition load
- High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
