Job Description

The Recruiter/Talent Sourcer role at The VET Recruiter is a full-cycle recruiting position focused on sourcing, engaging, and qualifying high-caliber talent. The work is 100% recruiting with no client hunting, collaborating closely with a senior recruiter on active searches.

Location and Schedule

  • Tulsa, OK (onsite)
  • In-office position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Salary and Compensation

  • USD 40,000 - 50,000 per year
  • Competitive base compensation with paid training
  • Performance incentives tied to recruiting results
  • Earning potential is directly tied to effort, consistency, and outcomes
  • Unlimited earning potential

Expected earnings in the first year: $65,000-$85K. With an experienced recruiter: $75,000-$150,000 or more.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively source and recruit top talent using networking, databases, LinkedIn, referrals, and creative outreach
  • Identify, assess, and engage passive candidates who may not be actively looking
  • Conduct candidate interviews and complete pre-screens
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-caliber professionals
  • Match candidates to roles aligned with their skills and goals
  • Coach candidates through interviews and career decision-making
  • Partner closely with a senior recruiter to support ongoing, active searches
  • Maintain accurate and current candidate information in the ATS/CRM
  • Represent searches and opportunities with professionalism, discretion, and credibility
  • Support offer negotiations and aim for successful placements
  • Deliver exceptional client results

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or relevant skills and experience
  • Self-starter with grit, drive, and resilience
  • Engaging personality and strong comfort meeting new people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including relationship-building skills
  • High energy
  • Comfort with cold calling and outreach
  • Professional, outgoing, and service-oriented mindset
  • High integrity and strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Self-motivated and organized, able to manage multiple searches at once
  • Enjoys both research and relationship-building as part of recruiting
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
