Senior Human Resources Manager / Business Partner
Job Description
Senior HR Manager and Business Partner for Innovive LLC leads the on-site HR function at the North Sioux City facility, partnering with site leadership to align people practices with business goals across recruiting, payroll, benefits, safety, and employee development.
Responsibilities
- Act as the on-site HR lead for the manufacturing site, building strong partnerships with cross-functional leaders.
- Collaborate with executives, fellow HR professionals, and site leaders to design and sustain company-wide HR strategies, programs, and best practices.
- Coordinate with local leaders on safety objectives and protocols, including conducting safety meetings, reviews, and remediation actions.
- Provide coaching and guidance on HR policies, procedures, employee relations, and performance discussions.
- Lead conflict resolution efforts, assist with performance improvement plans, and coach managers through performance conversations.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and extending offers to attract top talent.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding and orientation experience for new hires.
- Design and support site level employee engagement initiatives that foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and a positive work environment.
- Identify training needs, coordinate development programs, and manage a job leveling framework to boost skills and career growth.
- Support performance management through clear communication, training, progress tracking, and development planning.
- Partner with the corporate HR team to administer benefits programs covering health, wellness, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate payroll processing with the corporate HR team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Work with corporate HR to ensure policies and practices comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Investigate and document workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to promote a safe work environment.
- Perform additional HR duties as needed to support business requirements.
Requirements
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, support employee development, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with proactive prioritization and sound decision making.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build trust while demonstrating ethics and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, approachable demeanor under pressure.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Spanish bilingualism is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in an HR management role, including progressive HR experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in manufacturing or operations.
