Job Description

Based in Bend, Oregon, Les Schwab Warehouse Center, LLC is seeking a Senior Recruiting Specialist to act as the strategic hiring partner for a group of stores. This role owns the full recruiting lifecycle, delivering labor market insights, sourcing strategies, and hiring guidance to improve candidate quality while reducing reliance on external recruiting resources for onsite operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for the assigned stores, overseeing intake meetings, sourcing plans, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer support, and hiring consultation. Collaborate with hiring leaders to craft strategies that boost candidate quality and hiring outcomes.
  • Serve as the market expert for the defined territories, analyzing local labor markets, talent availability, compensation trends, competitor activity, and recruiting challenges. Leverage market intelligence to influence recruiting strategies, workforce planning, and hiring decisions.
  • Develop and sustain talent attraction strategies through proactive sourcing, community partnerships, hiring events, referral initiatives, recruitment marketing campaigns, and staffing plans for new stores to strengthen local hiring and reduce agency dependence.
  • Coach and influence hiring leaders on interviewing, candidate selection, market conditions, employment branding, and hiring best practices. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve hiring consistency and manager capability.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics, identify trends, propose process improvements, support the adoption of recruiting technology, and participate in special projects that enhance the Talent Acquisition function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides with an understanding of best hiring practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High levels of detail orientation.
  • Ability to follow complex processes.
  • Strong decision-making skills and judgment to resolve complicated issues.
  • Ability to focus on key priorities and effectively juggle many tasks simultaneously.
  • Primarily a desk position; regularly required to sit, occasionally to stand and walk. Frequent and repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, mouse, keyboard, and office equipment; ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and exchange information over the phone and in person.
