Thuma is a modern design company specializing in furniture and home goods, where simplicity is treated as a form of luxury and good design is paired with hospitality. As the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will own full-cycle, high-volume recruiting across Retail, Cafe, CX, and Supply Chain, building scalable hiring systems while keeping the candidate experience personal and consistent.
Role focus
You will partner with leaders to forecast hiring needs, define what βgreatβ looks like, and keep requisition pipelines moving. The position also emphasizes using AI tools as part of everyday recruiting work, from sourcing and screening through scheduling and reporting, so teams can move faster without losing a warm, human touch.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing for high-volume roles across retail, cafe, CX, and supply chain.
- Build and manage pipelines across multiple markets that can flex to high volume without sacrificing candidate experience or quality of hire.
- Bring a hospitality mindset to every candidate touchpoint and represent the Thuma brand throughout the process.
- Partner with hiring managers and site leaders to forecast hiring needs, calibrate on expectations, and maintain active requisition pipelines.
- Diversify new sourcing channels and iterate on approaches, sharing learnings and recommendations for expansion.
- Track new hire review cycles and exit interviews to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with payroll to support referral bonus tracking and processing.
- Manage a large, fast-moving requisition load with strong organization and follow-through.
- Advise hiring managers on hiring decisions and process improvements rather than only handling intake requests.
- Use AI tools to support sourcing, screening, scheduling, and reporting while maintaining a personal touch.
- Track and report on recruiting metrics including pipeline health and time-to-fill, among others.
- Work with the People Team on onboarding handoffs to support a smooth transition from candidate to new hire.
- Support onboarding and orientation for new markets, with flexibility to assist corporate roles as needed.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume hourly hiring for retail, hospitality, food & beverage, CX, or supply chain.
- Understanding of taste, design, luxury, and the Thuma brand.
- Comfort asking hard questions, giving feedback, and communicating proactively with detail and timeliness.
- A creative approach to solving high-volume hiring challenges, including interest in improving processes rather than repeating the same system.
- Exceptional organization to manage many open requisitions and candidates without losing details.
- Warm, positive energy in candidate interactions, with a passion for talent and helping people find roles where they can thrive.
- Experience and interest in using AI tools thoughtfully to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate experience.
- Experience with Rippling ATS is a plus.
