Job Description

The Site Recruiter role at Southern Foodservice Management supports the Fort Lee operation from the onsite Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia location. The position manages full-cycle recruitment for a large, fast-paced workforce, develops sourcing strategies, partners with hiring managers and Corporate HR, and guides onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt positions across the Fort Lee operation.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and Corporate HR to identify staffing needs, define candidate qualifications, and craft recruiting strategies.
  • Develop, post, and manage job advertisements across job boards, social media, and other recruiting channels.
  • Source active and passive candidates through online platforms, professional networks, referrals, and community outreach efforts.
  • Review resumes and perform initial screenings to assess qualifications, experience, and fit for available roles.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain clear communication throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Work with hiring managers to evaluate candidates and provide selection recommendations.
  • Extend verbal offers and manage the offer process with selected candidates.
  • Maintain a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates for frequently filled and hard-to-fill positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting in a high-volume environment with multiple simultaneous openings.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through online platforms, job boards, social media, and community outreach.
  • Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Technologies

Key tools include Paylocity and the Microsoft Office suite.

Community Outreach and Recruiting Events

  • Represent Southern Foodservice Management at job fairs, hiring events, military transition programs, career fairs, and community workforce initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with local workforce development agencies, educational institutions, military transition offices, and community organizations.
  • Plan and execute hiring events designed to attract qualified candidates.

Applicant Tracking and Onboarding Support

  • Utilize Paylocity and other recruiting tools to manage candidate activity, track recruitment metrics, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure applicant and hiring data are entered accurately and maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Initiate the onboarding process for new hires and coordinate with Human Resources staff to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
  • Monitor pre-employment requirements and communicate onboarding expectations to new hires.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and contract-related employment regulations.
  • Ensure recruitment practices support equal employment opportunity and affirmative action objectives where applicable.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, applicant flow, and hiring trends.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase recruiting efficiency and effectiveness.

Other Duties

  • Support Human Resources initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with retention-focused recruiting strategies and workforce planning efforts.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Human Resources department and staffing needs.

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Experience recruiting for foodservice, hospitality, healthcare, military, government contract, or large workforce environments.
  • Experience using Paylocity Recruiting and Onboarding modules.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting compliance requirements.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, AIRS, or similar) preferred.

Compensation

Annual salary: USD 65,000.
