Job Description

Save the Children International is seeking a Specialist, Talent Acquisition to lead end-to-end recruitment for a portfolio of live, high-volume roles across SCI functions and geographies. This is a global, remote position within the People Services function, combining talent acquisition advisory with compliance and analytics responsibilities.

Role overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Specialist, Talent Acquisition will manage recruitment activity from role briefing through to offer acceptance and handover. The role serves a global remit and operates remotely with flexible working options available, aligned to SCI hiring needs across locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle for an allocated portfolio of roles across SCI global functions and locations, from briefing through offer acceptance and handover
  • Design and deliver sourcing strategies per role, using advertising and direct sourcing as required
  • Maintain a high standard candidate experience and represent Save the Children professionally at every stage
  • Coordinate interviews and assessments efficiently, ensuring panels are briefed, materials are prepared in advance, and decisions are documented clearly
  • Manage offers and pre-employment processes in line with SCI policy, escalating complexities or risks to the team manager promptly
  • Develop trusted relationships with hiring managers, providing advice, market insight, and proactive updates
  • Handle process escalations transparently, keeping the team manager informed of any risks to timeline, quality, or stakeholder satisfaction
  • Contribute to strategic stakeholder engagement by providing insight into workforce planning and hiring decisions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ATS records, ensuring applications are processed within defined SLAs
  • Apply recruitment policies and procedures consistently, including safeguarding requirements, process compliance, and GDPR-compliant documentation and record-keeping
  • Proactively identify and escalate process risks or compliance gaps to the team manager
  • Act as the designated TA partner for an assigned region as part of the global TA Community of Practice, providing recruitment advisory to Country Office HR teams
  • Support consistency and standardisation by sharing best practice, resources, and, where needed, providing direct hiring support
  • Attend regular check-ins to understand regional hiring demand and context-specific needs through ongoing partnership with the region and People leads
  • Use consolidated knowledge platforms, tools, templates, and guidance to support delivery
  • Promote knowledge-sharing and continuous learning across the function
  • Support onboarding and development of new team members, sharing SCI systems, processes, and stakeholder landscape knowledge
  • Support development of TA strategy, processes, and standards using operational insight to improve delivery quality
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow optimisation, HR technology automation, employer branding, and stakeholder experience
  • Embed inclusive hiring practices across recruitment processes to support diverse representation and equity in recruitment
  • Partner with hiring managers to strengthen inclusive decision-making and reflect SCI’s commitment to equity and diversity

Required qualifications

  • Significant experience managing multi-stakeholder recruitment processes at pace and scale, with a strong record of high-quality hiring outcomes across a range of roles and regions
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders by advising, influencing, and constructively challenging to support effective decision-making and delivery of strategic hiring goals
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a portfolio of roles with accuracy and pace
  • Proactive approach to recruitment governance and compliance requirements, with commitment to maintaining process integrity
  • Experience using data, metrics, and insight to inform recruitment decisions, identify trends, and improve operational performance
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex, ambiguous, or sensitive situations where information may be incomplete
  • Good understanding of applicant tracking systems
  • Cultural awareness, empathy, and sensitivity across diverse contexts, modelling Save the Children values through integrity and accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences
  • English
  • Unrestricted right to work in the current or preferred location for the duration of employment

Preferred/desirable

  • Additional language of Spanish highly preferred
  • Experience in the international development, humanitarian, or INGO sector
  • Experience developing or applying tailored talent attraction approaches with understanding of local context and talent dynamics
  • Experience in leadership hiring and/or direct sourcing
  • Language skills relevant to SCI operational geographies, particularly Spanish, highly preferred
