Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist

At ESI Motion, the Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist role sits at the center of building a strong, capable team from the company’s Simi Valley, onsite presence. This position partners closely with hiring managers to translate staffing needs into effective recruiting, interview processes, and ongoing engagement programs that support a positive employee experience from first contact through onboarding and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and deliver exceptional service.
• Source candidates through online platforms, social networks, and professional channels.
• Advise hiring managers and interview teams on best practices, including interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and communications aligned with ESI Motion values.
• Coordinate and lead the full interview and selection process, covering screening calls, assessments, scheduling, and final interviews.
• Maintain relationships with past applicants and passive candidates through proactive outreach.
• Ensure a smooth, positive, and professional candidate experience from application to offer, onboarding, and beyond.
• Assist in developing job descriptions and interview questions aligned with departmental needs.
• Implement sourcing and hiring strategies that attract top talent and reflect organizational priorities.
• Support headcount forecasting, workload analysis, and departmental labor distribution reporting.
• Identify hiring trends and opportunities to enhance recruitment strategies and talent selection.
• Coordinate employee engagement programs and communications that strengthen culture and connection.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the company’s core values.
• Perform additional duties and support broader HR initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in building talent pipelines and sourcing passive candidates.
• Experience managing full cycle recruiting with diverse interviewing techniques and assessments.
• Familiarity with social media recruiting, resume databases, and professional networks.
• Experience recruiting technical and/or engineering talent is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Strong business acumen and ability to establish effective cross functional relationships.
• Understanding of state and federal HR compliance.
• Team oriented, collaborative, and adaptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of diverse role types within an organization.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
