Talent Acquisition Manager β Hourly Craft Recruitment
Job Description
The Weitz Company seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead a high-volume craft and hourly recruitment function, optimize talent pipelines, and drive full-cycle hiring aligned with workforce planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and coach a team of high-volume craft and hourly recruiters, including delegating workload and priorities, delivering performance feedback, creating development opportunities, setting team goals, and recognizing achievements
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for assigned roles: craft job ads, source candidates, review applications, conduct interviews, extend competitive offers, and coordinate pre-employment tasks
- Ensure an outstanding candidate experience through proactive communication, solid role knowledge, and professional conduct
- Act as a business advisor to forecast staffing needs, evaluate market data, and implement strategies to reduce time to fill, raise quality of hire, and source alternatives for hard-to-fill and critical roles
- Lead new position intake meetings with hiring leaders to foster strong partnership throughout the hiring process
- Proactively build talent pipelines via sourcing tools, community partnerships, industry associations, and hiring events
- Maintain records of previous candidates and former employees for current or future opportunities
- Ensure a consistent recruitment process across the organization with clear communication to both hiring teams and candidates and maintain adequate candidate flow
- Manage recruiting-related vendors such as agencies, background check providers, and sourcing tools to guarantee quality and service levels
- Track and report recruitment metrics; use insights to refine strategies in collaboration with HR leadership and business unit stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment workflows while staying compliant
- Partner with business units and HR stakeholders on succession planning and internal mobility
- Champion the company employment brand across recruiting networks, tailoring content for craft and salaried audiences
- Represent the organization in a professional manner
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition
- 3+ years leading a high-volume recruitment team
- Experience in an AEC related industry to understand project-based workforce needs and hiring cycles is highly preferred
- Degree required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Strong leadership and mentoring focus to support and develop the team
- Excellent customer service skills for a high level of service to the organization and external parties
- Ability to build positive relationships and connect with others
- Independent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Analytical mindset and comfort with digging into data to inform decisions
- Commitment to delivering an excellent candidate experience
- Skill in identifying, attracting, and evaluating quality candidates
- High initiative, professionalism, and strong business acumen
- Strong negotiation abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Arabic is a plus, but not required
