Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role is a remote position based in Tucson, AZ, focused on full life-cycle recruiting for Jersey College across institutional and campus levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a proactive, cost-conscious recruitment and sourcing plan to attract qualified candidates for current vacancies and campus expansion.
  • Leverage social media channels for candidate sourcing and employer branding.
  • Build and maintain referral networks to reduce dependence on standard job postings.
  • Establish and nurture a candidate network, including passive candidates, for future needs.
  • Support the institution's hiring processes across campuses.
  • Create and execute a structured workflow to identify candidates and track progress to improve time-to-hire.
  • Source potential candidates, document profiles, and capture contact notes within the applicant tracking system.
  • Provide a high touch candidate experience and position Jersey College as an employer of choice.
  • Use technology to manage candidate relationships and convert cold and warm leads, referrals, and prospects into applicants.
  • Review existing job descriptions, initiate internal and external postings, and develop innovative recruitment programs and marketing materials.
  • Increase the flow of qualified applicants for current campuses and expansion sites.
  • Prioritize recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for organizational positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Enter and maintain accurate, current information in the ATS, including job postings, applicant data, and notes.
  • Conduct reference checks, background verification, and licensure/certification checks as required by Jersey College.
  • Conduct exit interviews and track metrics to report findings to hiring managers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of talent acquisition experience performing sourcing and full-cycle recruiting across leadership, management, clinical, professional, technical, and support roles.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Outgoing, approachable style with a commitment to helping others succeed.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Healthcare industry experience or a related field is preferred.

Position Statement

The Talent Acquisition Specialist implements sourcing strategies to identify suitable candidates for roles at both institutional and campus levels. Using these strategies, the role builds a talent network to engage management, faculty, and administrative staff. The position provides full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing for existing and expansion campuses, creating and managing requisitions and candidate documentation in the ATS and contact management system, screening and interviewing, guidance on interview best practices, and direct negotiation with candidates.
