Talent Acquisition Specialist / Driver Recruiter
Job Description
Air Products and Chemical is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for its Driver Recruiting team. This remote role partners with hiring teams to develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies for qualified CDL driver candidates, with a focus on speed, quality, and a strong candidate experience through onboarding.
Based in Harrisburg, PA (remote), the role manages recruiting requisitions, builds internal and external talent networks, and uses labor market insight to find qualified candidates while aligning closely with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
What you’ll do
- Own requisitions and the candidate process for CDL driver hiring, and assist with other roles as needed.
- Build and maintain a strong internal network with key team members and leverage external networks to support sourcing efforts.
- Collaborate consistently with Hiring Managers and HR throughout the full recruitment life cycle.
- Use labor market knowledge to create an appropriate source strategy and identify talent.
- Partner with business leaders to understand hiring requirements and deliver high-quality talent efficiently.
- Challenge and educate hiring managers on applicant and talent selection, including business and talent risks tied to candidate assumptions.
- Lead and conduct intake meetings with hiring managers, and participate in calibration meetings as needed during recruitment.
- Conduct phone interviews and schedule interviews.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator and MyHR to support a strong candidate experience through onboarding.
What you bring
- Recruiting or staffing experience for CDL positions is required.
- Experience in Transitioning Service Member and Veteran recruitment is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of DOT / FMCSA regulations.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- A college degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Strong experience using applicant tracking systems such as Workday and Tenstreet preferred.
- Proven ability to proactively source candidates using resume databases, Boolean/x-ray search techniques, LinkedIn, and professional networking.
- Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and TA data metrics.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and operate independently.
- Proven capability in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- A “can-do” attitude and strong work ethic.
