Job Description

Step Up Family Services LLC is seeking an ABA Therapy Talent Acquisition Recruiter to build a strong staffing foundation for its center-based and in-home ABA programs. This hybrid role, based in Township of Brick, NJ, collaborates with clinical leadership and referral sources to source, screen, and hire BCBA, BCaBA, BT, and RBT staff while maintaining ethical and compliant recruiting practices. The role supports growth in client services and requires a professional approach to candidate experience and confidentiality.

Location: Township of Brick, NJ (hybrid)

Salary: USD 60,000 - 75,000 per year

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate candidates for clinical roles such as BCBAs, BCaBAs, BTs, RBTs, and related support positions.
  • Publish and manage openings across job boards, social platforms, university career centers, professional networks, community groups, and additional recruiting channels.
  • Lead initial phone screens and interviews to assess qualifications, experience, availability, professionalism, communication, and fit with the organization's mission.
  • Arrange interviews with hiring managers and clinical or operations leadership, particularly for BCBAs/BCaBAs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with candidates to ensure a professional and positive experience.
  • Perform reference checks, verify credentials, and oversee pre-employment requirements.
  • Develop and sustain a pipeline of BCBA, BT, and RBT candidates to meet current and future staffing needs for center-based and in-home programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess caseload growth, geographic coverage, client schedules, clinical capacity, and recruitment priorities.
  • Monitor recruiting activity and metrics, such as candidate leads, interviews, offers, hires, start dates, open positions, and time-to-fill.
  • Coordinate with clinical leadership, operations, intake, scheduling, HR, and billing to align client growth with staffing capacity.
  • Keep leadership informed about referrals, hiring needs, recruitment challenges, and market trends.
  • Support balanced recruitment that aligns client acquisition with safe, ethical, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in handling candidate and employee information.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, and applicable employment laws.

Requirements

  • Required: high school diploma or equivalent; preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, healthcare administration, psychology, communications, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience in recruiting, healthcare recruitment, sales, community outreach, behavioral health, or ABA/autism services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with candidates and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, time-management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, spreadsheets, job boards, email, phone outreach, and basic reporting tools.
