CDL Driver Recruiter

Responsibilities

• Source, recruit, and onboard CDL Class A and B drivers through multiple channels, including job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and database mining
• Conduct pre screen interviews to assess qualifications, certifications, driving history, and cultural fit
• Verify credentials such as CDL status, endorsements, medical cards, and compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Lead the full cycle recruitment process from initial outreach to onboarding and placement
• Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified driver candidates to meet client demand and fill orders promptly
• Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers or clients
• Track recruitment activity and candidate status within the ATS
• Build strong relationships with candidates to support retention and redeployment
• Collaborate with account managers and operations teams to understand hiring needs and workforce planning
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach as needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of recruiting experience; CDL or transportation recruiting preferred
• Previous staffing agency recruiting experience
• Strong knowledge of CDL classifications (Class A, B), endorsements, and DOT requirements
• Proven ability to meet recruitment metrics and hiring goals in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication, interviewing, and relationship building skills
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting tools
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Must reside in Texas
• Must have valid driver license
• CDL Recruiting: 1 year (Required)
