Contract Recruiter

Join Ayar Labs in San Jose, CA as a Contract Recruiter onsite and help build a targeted pipeline for deeply technical engineering hires over the next 6 months. This role focuses on proactive, high-quality sourcing, partnering closely with the Director Talent Acquisition to identify qualified candidates and maintain an exceptional experience throughout the hiring process.

What you’ll do

• Identify and proactively source qualified candidates, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn
• Conduct targeted sourcing using Boolean search, X-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and niche semiconductor community platforms
• Answer initial candidate questions as needed
• Act as a trusted partner to the Talent Acquisition team and support pipeline building
• Maintain a high sense of urgency while preserving quality and good judgment with an expectation to hire only best-in-class “A” players
• Help ensure an exceptional candidate experience from first contact onward

What you bring

• 4+ years of experience in semiconductors, electronics, and/or optical communications
• 4+ years of direct sourcing experience for engineers using LinkedIn
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment and manage urgency effectively
• Ability to learn and communicate complex technical information

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in a tech startup
• Prior experience in a recruiting firm
• Experience with Paycor
