  • Champion diversity and inclusion through inclusive hiring practices and sourcing strategies for entry-level pipelines.
  • Partner with business leaders across Engineering, Product, and corporate hiring managers to forecast entry-level hiring needs, define role requirements, and support interview panels with best practices for assessing early talent.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by guiding students through early corporate recruitment with high-touch communication, transparent feedback, and a clear narrative about early career growth at Avalara.
  • Manage programs and report on metrics by tracking pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and program ROI to monitor progress and optimize recruitment strategies.

What you bring

  • 3+ to 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong emphasis on university relations, campus recruiting, or early-in-career technical or corporate hiring.
  • Proven success in building campus pipelines, organizing university outreach, and engaging high-potential student talent.
  • Strong communication skills across verbal and written formats, with comfort presenting to large groups of students, campus faculty, and corporate executives.
  • Organizational strength to manage high-volume candidate workflows, fast-moving interview timelines, and multiple concurrent campus events.
  • Collaboration in a global environment with effective cross-functional partnership.
  • Enthusiasm for coaching early-career talent, including understanding career motivations and supporting successful launches in tech and business.

Work model and role focus
