Job Description
Google is hiring an Executive Recruiting Researcher to support executive search teams by identifying and cultivating L8+ leadership talent. In this onsite role in Boulder, CO, you will own key talent market research and search approaches across technical functions, partnering closely with leadership recruiters to surface domain and market insights.
Your work will help shape how searches move from strategy to execution, while also informing executive decisions for high-priority business needs. This position combines research depth, recruiting fluency, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
What you’ll do
- Develop and own search strategies, delivering research aligned to those strategies for executive searches across technical functions such as engineering, product management, and research science.
- Provide project management for searches, helping drive work forward and creating consistent experiences for hiring managers/clients, applicants, and colleagues.
- Partner with leadership recruiters to collaborate on domain and market insights and trends, and advise executives on talent for their most exigent business needs.
- Build relationships for the future by engaging passive candidates and maintaining a pipeline of talent.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of systems, services, and processes.
Minimum qualifications
- 3 years of experience in research or recruiting within technical executive search research at an executive search firm or in-house recruiting team.
- 1 year of experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, industry publications, or related sources for market mapping and talent identification.
- Experience in executive recruiting, including outreach, engagement, evaluation, and presentation.
- Experience maximizing team outcomes while also supporting individual performance, with demonstrated collaboration as a team player.
- Experience in research science/data science/PhD/fellows hiring.
- Capability, credibility, and consultative skills to influence senior colleagues and stakeholders without authority.
- An open learning mindset, with demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new complex subject matter and understand new markets, areas, roles, and business initiatives.

Compensation
- Salary (US): $111,000 - $159,000 (USD) per year
- Additional pay: 15% bonus target, plus equity and benefits
- Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
