Generalist, Human Resources
Job Description
Based onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, this Generalist, Human Resources role provides essential support to the Inflight Performance Team within American Airlines' Global People Team. The position manages investigations, performance management, mediation, data-driven insights, and talent processes with a focus on Inflight operations and accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Assist Inflight Performance Team leaders in conducting investigations into team member relations that are thorough, timely, and consistent.
- Advise leaders on performance management, career development, and progressive discipline for represented and non-represented team members.
- Serve as a trusted resource to mediate and resolve HR inquiries and concerns raised by team members.
- Leverage data and workforce metrics to proactively identify trends and propose improvements.
- Collaborate closely with the People Business Partner on strategic imperatives, including talent strategy, learning and development, performance optimization, and fostering engagement.
- Coordinate with the ADA team to evaluate accommodation requests and guide leaders on appropriate next steps.
- Support the talent management lifecycle for leaders, including recruiting activities, onboarding plan support, and offboarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or a related field, or equivalent experience/training.
- 3 years of human resources experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional maturity to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
