HR Recruiting Assistant

Jeff Foster Trucking seeks an HR Recruiting Assistant to provide administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, and HR file maintenance from its onsite office in Superior, Wisconsin. This role coordinates new-hire logistics and supports events, while upholding confidentiality and accuracy in HR records. The position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 and requires a minimum of one year in recruiting and a degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensures HR files, records, and documentation remain current and accurate.
• Responds to common questions from applicants and employees about policies, benefits, and hiring processes; directs more complex inquiries to senior HR staff or management.
• Upholds the confidentiality and integrity of HR files and records.
• Conducts periodic audits of HR files to ensure all required documents are collected and properly filed.
• Provides general clerical support to the HR team.
• Leads or assists with new-hire orientation sessions.
• Coordinates travel arrangements for new hires as needed.
• Supports planning and execution of employee events such as recognition programs and holiday celebrations.
• Supports recruiting and interviewing prospective candidates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recruiting experience (preferred).
