Job Description

This onsite role in Nashville, TN supports people programs across employee and labor relations, leadership enablement, inclusion, and policy improvement. The salary range is USD 73,621 - 108,298 per year, with bonus eligibility under the current bonus plan requirements.
What you’ll do
- Assist with the implementation of HR initiatives and programs, including learning and development and workforce planning.
- Participate in organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Serve as a resource to employees by providing coaching and employee relations support.
- Support and facilitate communication strategies for HR, divisional, and company programs, benefits, and initiatives.
- Recommend improvements to policies, practices, and strategies.
- Identify and analyze trends tied to recurring issues, then recommend approaches to resolution and improvement.
- Organize assigned tasks and projects independently and complete work within specified deadlines.
- Interpret HR policies, practices, and procedures for both employees and managers.
- Conduct employee relations counseling and investigations.
- Ensure appropriate corrective actions are administered consistently and advise management on resolutions across business units.
- Evaluate departmental performance against established goals and recommend changes to improve efficiency and service.
- Administer WOTC (Tax incentives).
- Support compliance by responding to EEOC or DFEH complaints, coordinating training and employee engagement efforts, and representing the organization at unemployment hearings.
- Support local community outreach initiatives.
- Manage job recruitment (including interviewing), employee onboarding, and employee off-boarding.
What you bring
- BA/BS Degree (4-year)
- 4-6 years of related work experience with a concentration in Human Resources
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn required business systems
- Knowledge of large HRIS systems including UltiPro, SAP, and ADP
- Knowledge of federal and state laws affecting HR policies and procedures, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other regulatory compliance laws
- Excellent critical thinking, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence
- Effective verbal and written communication with ability to influence change
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively
- Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization
- Ability to travel as needed
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred; SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
