Job Description
Responsibilities
- Process initial and annual background checks for new hires and existing staff
- Serve as the SCCS fingerprinting vendor, scheduling and completing fingerprints for prospective employees
- Collaborate with supervisors to address staffing needs and onboarding for new hires
- Plan and conduct new hire orientations
- Submit and retrieve required documents such as FMLA and STD forms
- Collect, organize, and file documents (contracts, leases, etc.)
- Reconcile vouchers with the County Clerk's office
- Manage office supply procurement
- Answer phone inquiries in a professional manner
- Submit employment verifications to the state promptly
- Maintain organized employee records including I-9s and tax forms
- Willingness to serve as a Direct Support Provider (DSP) for persons served
- Assist with human capital management activities such as recruitment, onboarding, employee orientation, and performance evaluations
- Support benefits administration processes, including data entry and enrollment procedures
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR records
- Coordinate employee relations initiatives and facilitate clear communication between staff and management
- Maintain a courteous, respectful, and helpful demeanor with visitors and staff
- Full list of responsibilities will be presented at interview
- Assist with payroll duties as part of the business office
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of HR experience in administrative support roles, preferably within human resources or related fields
- Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, OSHA regulations, and labor law compliance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience in benefits administration, employee evaluation processes, training and development, and conflict management is highly desirable
- Associate degree is required

Pay: USD 18.00 - 20.00 per hour
