Human Resources Administrator
Job Description
Evergreen Energy Partners is a fully remote organization based in Portland, OR, and this role helps keep the day-to-day people operations running smoothly. As a Human Resources Administrator, you’ll support core HR processes with accuracy and discretion, maintaining records, assisting with recruiting and onboarding, and helping with benefits and payroll-related administration.
In this detail-driven position, you’ll work independently in a virtual environment while staying responsive and connected to the team, using HR systems and business tools to keep information current across multiple workflows.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate HR records, team member files, and documentation in BambooHR and other HR systems.
- Support recruiting activities, including applicant sourcing for hiring manager review, interview coordination, candidate communication, and applicant tracking updates.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including document collection, task tracking, system updates, and coordination with new team members and managers.
- Respond promptly to routine team member questions, and route more complex questions to the appropriate HR team member when needed.
- Support benefits administration by helping with enrollment documentation, answering team member questions, updating records, and completing related follow-up.
- Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks by reviewing and organizing HR information needed for the semi-monthly payroll process.
- Coordinate team member recognition gifts and HR programs, including anniversaries and Get Out and Play recognition.
- Help maintain and update HR documents, including personnel change notices and other team member administrative documents.
- Support HR reporting, special projects, and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressively responsible administrative, office support, human resources, or operations support experience.
- Reliability, strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and accurate, timely communication.
- High organization and the ability to manage recurring administrative tasks while tracking details across multiple systems and processes.
- Warm, professional communication with discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to adapt to process updates, shifting priorities, and occasional short-notice requests while keeping work moving forward.
- Solution-oriented support for team members, managers, and colleagues.
- Openness to feedback, willingness to learn, and interest in continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, adapt to workload changes, and respond quickly to short-notice requests.
- Ownership of assigned work with follow-through and thoughtful questions when clarification is needed.
- Comfort working independently in a virtual environment while remaining available, responsive, and connected to the team.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Adobe Acrobat experience is helpful.
- Ability to use HR systems, databases, spreadsheets, and tracking tools for accurate data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Proficiency with general office equipment and basic math.
- HRIS and related experience (HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, benefits administration, onboarding, records management) is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a virtual environment is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods at a computer, including data entry and proficient typing.
- Talking on the telephone or video conference calls for extended periods.
- Ability to speak/hear, providing clear, accurate communication and hearing the telephone.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must complete a pre-employment background check.
- Must have a solid internet connection, a dedicated and fully equipped home office for public or client-facing virtual on-screen meetings, and a reliable phone.
- Evergreen will provide a computer setup for the position, including two monitors, monitor stand, speakers, webcam, docking station, wireless keyboard and mouse, and a surge suppressor.
- Fully remote telecommuting role; some evening and early morning meetings and events may occasionally be necessary.

Pay: USD 28 to 30 per hour. Experience: minimum 4 years. Location: Portland, OR with remote work.
