Job Description
University Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Human Resources Analyst – Generalist to provide professional HR guidance, analytical support, and cross-functional services across recruitment, compensation, benefits, and compliance. This onsite role partners with leaders to translate data into practical HR solutions that align with organizational goals and policies. The position offers an hourly wage range of USD 22 to 38 and requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, along with at least one year of HR experience and solid Excel skills.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Analyst – Generalist delivers professional HR consultation, analytical support, and operational services across multiple HR functions. It acts as a cross-functional partner supporting recruitment, compensation, employee benefits, workforce compliance, and strategic HR initiatives. Working closely with leaders and staff, this role provides data-driven, responsive HR solutions that support organizational objectives while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and internal policies.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with hiring managers to streamline recruitment, assess staffing needs, coordinate hiring activities, and foster a high-quality candidate experience.
- Perform compensation analyses by evaluating internal equity and market data to inform salary recommendations that support recruitment, retention, promotions, transfers, and organizational initiatives.
- Assist employees with health, retirement, and voluntary benefits, including enrollments, life events, benefit questions, vendor coordination, and annual enrollment activities.
- Manage unemployment claims by responding to Texas Workforce Commission requests, preparing documentation, monitoring claim activity, and supporting workforce compliance efforts.
- Contribute to strategic HR initiatives involving HRIS, workforce analytics, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
- Utilize HR data and reporting tools to identify trends, improve processes, and support organizational decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Human Resources or a related field is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
