ZYNP International Corp is seeking a Human Resources Office Administrator to provide HR support and manage office operations on site in Romulus, Michigan. This role integrates HR data management, employee communications, front desk duties, and event coordination to sustain efficient administrative workflows.
Job Summary
As a Human Resources Office Administrator, you will deliver comprehensive administrative support to the HR department while supervising general office operations. This includes front desk management, coordinating meetings, and organizing events. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update HR data entry spreadsheets covering anniversaries, birthdays, training, turnover, rosters, attendance, discipline, monthly hours, benefits, and related metrics.
- Conduct and analyze employee morale and engagement surveys, generate reports, and propose improvement initiatives.
- Create HR communications such as newsletters, policy updates, and internal announcements to promote alignment and transparency.
- Schedule interviews, manage candidate communications, and coordinate pre-employment steps.
- Coordinate onboarding processes, ensuring all new hire documentation, orientation, and safety training meet compliance and organizational standards.
- Support offboarding activities to ensure smooth transitions for departing employees.
- Maintain the integrity of HR files, records, and databases, adhering to retention and confidentiality standards.
- Prepare, analyze, and present audit documentation for internal, external, and corporate compliance reviews.
- Conduct annual audits of employee files and I-9 documentation to ensure compliance.
- Update and distribute HR forms and templates as needed.
- Administer employee recognition programs and create Employee Spotlight features for internal communications or LinkedIn.
- Lead, coordinate, and participate in company events, recognition programs, and engagement activities, including multimedia efforts that foster a positive and inclusive culture.
- Manage social media updates for HR content to enhance branding and employee engagement.
- Support safety and incident documentation, OSHA reporting, and training compliance; follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and collaborate with managers to ensure compliance and employee awareness.
- Communicate with staffing agencies regarding warehouse staffing needs, onboarding, attendance, and payroll submissions.
- Review and submit timesheets, verify accuracy, and ensure timely processing as needed.
- Support HR and Accounting with expense reports, credit card receipt tracking, and HR-related purchases.
- Greet visitors and vendors, answer phone calls, and maintain a welcoming office environment.
- Order and manage office, cleaning, and snack supplies; maintain inventories and organize the HR storage area.
- Schedule meetings, maintain conference room calendars, and assist leadership with document preparation and approvals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management
- 3 years of experience in a similar administrative role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong internet skills and organizational planning abilities
- Attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and professionalism
- Experience with social media and event planning
- Strong problem solving, flexibility, and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
