Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
On site in Santa Clara, UNIQLO is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Coordinator to help steward store-level HR operations across its Large Format formats. The role centers on supporting training, employee relations, staffing, recruitment, and payroll processes at the store level, working closely with area and store leadership to keep people operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Primarily perform duties in UNIQLO stores with potential travel between locations.
- Deliver in-store training to employees on HR processes, employment laws, and recruiting practices.
- Collaborate with the Area Human Resources Manager on employee relations matters and staffing objectives.
- Handle HR reporting and the administrative tasks tied to records, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as the liaison for employee relations questions, leaves of absence, paid time off, and workers' compensation concerns.
- Assist with interviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and provide HR support at the store level.
- Coordinate with store managers, HR, training, and payroll teams to align efforts.
- Use recruiting tools to post openings and source external candidates through on-site events, job fairs, and competitive outreach.
- Follow up on employment processes, including completing forms, conducting orientations, and notifying departments of new hire start dates.
- Address HR issues promptly, consulting with HR when necessary.
- Uphold UNIQLO service standards and brand principles in interactions, incorporating the six standard phrases.
- Maintain brand and operational standards in-store, including visual presentation and cleanliness.
- Be knowledgeable of fitting room standards and, when needed, perform cashier duties following cashier protocol.
- Ensure payroll integrity and accuracy of the payroll process.
- Enforce professional image and grooming standards aligned with the brand.
- Provide support across multiple store locations.
- Utilize ADP PayForce, WFS, and Workday in daily tasks.
- Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, reading computer terminals, and ability to lift at least 10 pounds; navigate sales floor and stockroom through bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and occasional climbing.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with ADP PayForce, WFS, and Workday.
- Ability to stand for long periods, read computer terminals, and lift or carry objects up to 10 pounds.
- Capability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, with repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and occasional climbing.
