Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
Brandt Consolidated, Inc. offers an onsite, full-time Human Resources Coordinator role in our Springfield, IL office that supports operations across multiple locations. This position provides a competitive annual salary of USD 55,000 to 75,000 and the stability of an exempt role within a collaborative HR team. You will coordinate recruiting activities, manage onboarding, track benefits, and ensure HRIS data accuracy while serving as a go-to resource for employee inquiries and backing up other HR functions. You will stay informed on HR laws affecting the business, participate in mandatory trainings, and partner with payroll, accounting, and legal to exchange information and advance cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment and interview coordination
- Track candidate status in the HRIS
- Send follow-up letters at the conclusion of the recruiting process
- Maintain current knowledge of HR laws impacting the business
- File documents in appropriate employee records
- Assist or prepare correspondence as requested
- Prepare new employee files
- Facilitate mandatory HR training as required by law, specifically Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
- Assist in writing and maintaining job descriptions
- Assist in posting jobs to the company website and recruitment sites
- Collaborate with payroll, accounting, legal, and other divisions to exchange data as needed
- Work on overlapping projects
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Maintain annual Section 125 plan administration
- Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Classification and Hours
This is a full-time, exempt position. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some work outside these hours may be required to complete training or employee-related matters, and travel may be necessary for in-person training across the organization.
