Job Description

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator supports HR operations through coordination of key transactions, documentation, and administrative support that strengthens worker satisfaction.

  • Manage HR transactional activities including unemployment claims, medical support notices, employment verifications, payroll change requests, discrepancy forms, badge requests, and HR mailings
  • Complete new hire and termination paperwork; coordinate onboarding and offboarding into and out of systems and platforms
  • Submit IT tickets for access changes, terminations, and profile updates for new and existing users
  • Support onboarding meetings and processes
  • Assist weekly Payroll by ensuring timecards and time off are approved by 10 am each Monday
  • Scan and upload documents into electronic employee files
  • Assist with attendance points and tracking
  • Facilitate benefit enrollments and provide support during open enrollment and new hire enrollments
  • Process invoices for HR department vendors
  • Run weekly reports of agency employee hours for agency payroll and billing
  • Maintain agency employee information in UKG through data entry and ongoing updates
  • Proctor candidate assessments following vendor protocols
  • Monitor inventory of supplies (including badges, bottles, and label tape) and request purchases as needed
  • Assist with HR scheduling for training, meetings, and lunches
  • Coordinate offsite plant activities and onsite plant meetings
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in daily tasks
  • Communicate updates through a texting program for inclement weather and other announcements
  • Support HR team projects tied to strategic initiatives and objectives
  • Serve as backup to the HR Generalist
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years experience in HR Administration or business office experience
  • Associate degree (A.A) or two years of college study in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office programs
  • Experience working with an HRIS such as ADP
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management
  • 1 to 2 years of recruitment experience

Pay Incentives

  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 payable during the pay period following successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment
  • Retention Bonuses: Two additional $500 bonuses paid at 6 months and 1 year of employment, contingent upon active employment and good standing
  • Annual Merit Increases: Eligible for yearly performance-based pay increases
  • Bonuses are subject to applicable federal and state tax withholdings

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

This role requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting.

  • Frequent: sitting; upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure including extended periods of keyboard and mouse use; side-to-side turning of neck; walking, standing, bending and stooping; pushing/pulling; twisting at the waist; moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials
  • Occasional: squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height; moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 to 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders; transporting distances up to 50 feet
  • Vision: ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction
  • Hearing: ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
