Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator supports daily HR operations for the Midatlantic Employers' Association, helping coordinate onboarding and offboarding, benefits and payroll administration, recruiting support, and HR compliance activities. The position also acts as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers while ensuring confidential handling of sensitive information.
Location and Schedule
- Location: West Chester, PA (onsite)
- Work setup: Requires onsite work in the West Chester, PA office location
- Shift: First Shift
- Employment: Full Time (40 hours per week)
- Start time: Flexible start time
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, and training activities
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll preparation, including data review and audit support
- Coordinate benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, employee inquiries, and billing reconciliation
- Serve as a resource to employees on company policies, benefits, payroll, time-off programs, and other HR-related topics
- Maintain HR documentation to support compliance, reporting, and audit requirements
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Assist with cooperative education programs and other internship programs
- Support employee engagement activities and internal HR communications
- Assist the HR Manager with employee relations matters and other sensitive issues as needed
- Coordinate HR projects and process improvements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Previous HR, administrative, recruiting, payroll, or benefits experience
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn HR systems
- Dependable, professional, and eager to learn
- U.S. Citizenship required
