Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
In this onsite Human Resources Coordinator role in Baraboo, WI, you will support the HR function and partner with HR leadership to advance people-focused outcomes and business goals. The position covers day-to-day HR support, recruiting and onboarding coordination, training facilitation, administrative responsibilities, and careful maintenance of HR records.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator supports employees and leaders by managing daily HR questions and requests, assisting with front line recruiting and onboarding, supporting HR training and development activities, completing reporting and administrative work, and maintaining confidential HR documentation. This role also serves as a primary contact for fulfilling and tracking employee requests and escalates items to HRM or HRD when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet employees and address daily questions and requests promptly, in person, by phone, and by email.
- Ensure consistent communication with employees, leadership, and across departments to support operations and a positive service-focused culture.
- Lead front line recruiting and onboarding for the Lodge under the direction of HRM and HRD.
- Partner with HRD and HRM to manage Pack-related FAQs, including benefits and pack perks, along with other HR topics.
- Listen to Pack questions or concerns and escalate to HRM or HRD as necessary.
- Conduct training to onboard new Pack members and new leaders, including Wolfology and Create the Moment.
- Support training and development programs for frontline Pack members and coordinate completion of online training on Great Wolf University.
- Own day-to-day reporting and HR administrative duties, including processing HR department information.
- Help organize Pack celebrations and promote Pack recognition.
- Communicate ideas clearly and confidently in oral and written formats.
- Provide feedback that supports Pack Member growth, development, and engagement.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of federal and state employment law.
- Assess and prioritize staffing needs and execute the staffing strategy to improve staffing levels.
- Manage open job requisitions based on business needs.
- Provide administrative support for HR and operations, including payroll, time and attendance, data input, and reporting.
- Support HR with maintenance of human resource records, including personnel files, I-9, EEOC, Worker's Compensation, drug screening, incident files, and health files.
- Serve as the main point of contact to fulfill and track Pack Member Lodge requests.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of previous HR or similar experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Enthusiastic and positive energy.
- Ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications and Traits
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Human Resources certification or other specialized training.
- Previous experience in the hotel, resort, or theme park industry.
- Experience utilizing HR technology.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.

Compensation
$21 per hour (annual base salary as stated: $21 per hour)
