Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
Muir Home Health is part of the Cornerstone Group, with about 75 home health and hospice agencies across the country. In Concord, CA, this local team supports a mission-driven home health environment where employees are empowered to help deliver life-changing service for the community.
In this onsite role, the Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department, with focus on HR reporting, compliance, and practical HR support for both field and Admin teams across systems such as Workday and HCHB.
Role Overview
- Support daily Human Resources functions, including HR reporting and compliance.
- Provide Workday and HCHB support for field and Admin staff.
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and related HR processes.
- Help maintain compliant personnel files and support HR readiness for surveys.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with multiple agency IT and HR representatives to provide training and multi-systems operational support.
- Support HR policies, procedures, benefits, and recruiting activities.
- Onboard clinical and non-clinical staff members and assist with onboarding and orientation workflows.
- Maintain compliant personnel files and support FLSA and other HR-related policies and processes.
- Coordinate device setup and IT access for all staff.
- Prepare new hire training materials and answer general questions related to timekeeping, payroll, benefits, and agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date renewable requirements and accuracy of the employee database (HCHB).
- Assist the HR Manager as an agency liaison for Work Comp and Leave of Absence reporting and follow up.
- Stay current on state and federal labor laws, regulations, and agency HR policy implementation.
- Contribute to Human Resources department and agency goals, while promoting and living the organization’s core values.
- Support additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Manage employee payroll, including changes related to codes, names, and taxes.
- Coordinate manual payroll changes with the accounting firm, payroll, and other parties as directed by administration.
