Job Description

Family Home Health Care Inc. is hiring an on-site Human Resources Coordinator in Valhalla, NY to support the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources Department. In this role, you will help manage HR inquiries, coordinate onboarding and orientation, maintain employee systems and documentation, and support compliance and disciplinary processes while providing responsive, courteous service to staff.

Role overview

Working within agency policy and the scope of the position, the HR Coordinator carries out organizational mission and objectives, supports care member onboarding, and helps keep HR operations accurate and audit-ready. The role also includes maintaining confidentiality and contributing to a friendly working atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle HR inquiries from both office and field staff.
  • Support onboarding by confirming new care members complete required compliance steps and partnering with the Onboarding Team to collect documentation, including certification or licensure, two references, evaluation test results, and CHRC consent.
  • Assist with completion of pre-employment medical requirements.
  • Prepare for and conduct new-hire orientations.
  • Enter employee information into the HHA eXchange system.
  • Maintain employee files using ADP DocCloud and hard-copy files for regulatory surveys.
  • Monitor and update employee status rosters across HHA eXchange, CHRC, and HCR, and process status changes as needed.
  • Maintain and communicate e-learning credentials and ensure staff meet e-learning requirements.
  • Track and collect compliance items, including follow-up communication where required.
  • Submit and terminate new care members in the Department of Health systems, including Health Commerce System, Home Care Registry, and Criminal History Record Check systems.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational and care member information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) (Preferred)

Compensation and benefits

Compensation: $22.56-$28.21 per hour (USD 22 - 28 per hourly). The position includes accrued vacation days, sick days, and holidays, participation in a 403(b)Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, Cancer Insurance, and Pet Insurance, discounted membership through Plum Benefits, and pay for eligible commuter expenses using pre-tax dollars.
