UGN, Inc. is seeking an onsite Human Resources Generalist in Jackson, Tennessee. In this role you will support the HR team across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, workers' compensation, and employee relations, helping to keep HR processes efficient while backing Team Members and management.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for non-management roles, including creating job requisitions, screening resumes, presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and maintaining related documentation.
- Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires and temp-to-hire conversions, and track records for the Team Member Referral Bonus program and payments.
- Process job bids for non-management positions such as hourly production staff, material handlers, and team leaders.
- Initiate and document investigations into non-management grievances, escalating to the HR Manager when issues require policy guidance.
- Collaborate with Coordinators and Managers to administer progressive disciplinary actions for non-management staff, with escalation as needed.
- Oversee termination procedures for non-management employees, including discussions, letters, HRIS updates, and payroll communications.
- Conduct exit interviews for all voluntary terminations of non-management Team Members.
- Assist payroll by reviewing timesheets and ensuring timely approvals with Coordinators and Managers.
- Contribute to planning and execution of regular Team Member engagement activities.
- Support benefits administration with leave management, including FMLA and ADA, open enrollment, and new hire benefits.
- Respond to inquiries from Team Members and Management regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the Human Resources Assistant.
- Prepare and administer HR reports such as headcount and DMR reporting, as well as the Headcount/Autoneum report.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience and/or training.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Broad HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of HRIS, specifically UKG.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
